Founded in 1959 by a group of enthusiastic sailors, the Blue Water Sailing Club dedicates itself to safe cruising, racing, boating education, and good fellowship among its members. We are a family organization with over 300 members. While centered in Eastern Massachusetts, our members sail the waters of New England, New York, Chesapeake Bay, the Carolinas, and Florida. The Club, run entirely by our members, is an affordable way to belong to a recognized yachting organization.

Greetings from your officers of the Bridge

New England’s sailing season is finally here and the Blue Water Sailing Club’s calendar features cruises in Maine, the Bay of Fundy, a women’s cruise also in Maine, and thanks to long time frequent volunteers, two cruises south of the canal. There will be shorter Blue Water gatherings on Memorial Day in Maine, July 4th in Buzzards Bay, and on Labor Day a “mystery group” of 5+ boats will be the nucleus to convene in Gloucester while another group heads to Scituate, Provincetown and points south.

Cruises and mini get-togethers are the best environments to enjoy Blue Water company and are great opportunities to invite friends to join along, including on our cruises. In addition to what’s formally arranged, members setting out for a destination can create a “rendezvous” via the Club’s website by briefly describing their plans i.e. event, location, time and giving the organizer’s contact information. (log into > event calendar > add quick event) or contact Doug Robinson for assistance.

The full details of all the scheduled cruises can be found in the Events Calendar or on the above Home Page listing of Upcoming Events.
