View from the Bridge
As we start to wind down the sailing season, here’s wishing everyone a few more warm, leisurely cruises and beautiful fall sunsets. But most especially, I’d like to thank everyone who made our cruising season a success. We had cruises that ranged from Maine to Long Island and a fairly special event that went into Canada as well. If you couldn’t find a cruise you liked this year, you just weren’t trying. Although we don’t have a cruise planned during the Columbus Day weekend, make sure to both list and check for a rendezvous if you plan to be out and about.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to highlight three other things. First, remember that if you met fellow sailors during the summer who you think would be a good addition to our club, please reach out to them and put them in touch with our Membership Chairman, Peter Dempsey. Secondly, our Annual Meeting is scheduled for October 28 from 11 am to 3 pm at Ken’s Steakhouse in Framingham, MA – so make sure it’s on your calendar. And finally, our Nominating Committee is working to fill positions for our Board of Governors. If you have any interest in helping to set the direction of our Club, or just to get your fix of “sailing talk” during the offseason, please let Aedan Gleeson or Sue Struss know of your interest. We hold about half of our meetings online, so there are only a few meetings to attend. Maybe we’ll see some new faces!
Thanks again for all of your interest, help and activity during this past year. See you on October 28!
