Cruising Opportunities

BWSC has had spectacular cruises, especially along the Maine coast, and up to the Canadian Maritimes. We have actually visited Newfoundland with one member boat circumnavigating the entire province, and another visiting the Gulf of St Lawrence including the Magdalen Islands and Prince Edward Island. For this year, we have toned down our cruises due to COVID, but we will still be visiting the coast of southern New England, the coast of Maine and holding our annual Women’s Cruise.

Founded in 1959 by a group of enthusiastic sailors, the Blue Water Sailing Club dedicates itself to safe cruising, racing, boating education, and good fellowship among its members. We are a family organization with over 300 members. While centered in Eastern Massachusetts, our members sail the waters of New England, New York, Chesapeake Bay, the Carolinas, and Florida. The Club, run entirely by our members, is an affordable way to belong to a recognized yachting organization.

The BWSC cruising program is a go this year, but with COVID restrictions. The cruising program will be informal in nature.  This means that there will be no registrations for any cruise, and cruise leaders will only be organizers, allowing a lot of flexibility for any member to choose how they would like to participate, including going it alone on their own schedule and pace.  Please enjoy the summer, get vaccinated, wear your mask as required and play safe, as we all work to get back to normal.
