On behalf of all Blue Water Sailing Club members I want to welcome you to the Blue Water Sailing Club website and invite you to learn more about us. For more than 65 years our club has been made up of sailors of varied experience who share a love of ocean sailing, cruising and racing.

We’re looking forward to the biennial Marion to Bermuda sailboat race in June 2025. Since 1977 Blue Water Sailing Club has been one of the sponsors along with the Beverly Yacht Club (in Marion, Mass) and the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club (in Bermuda) and many of our members have raced or crewed over the years. In 2025, PHRF boats will have their own division for the first time. For those interested in offshore racing or just learning more, check out the Northeast Ocean Racing Seminar in March.

We’re planning another robust sailing season, with organized cruises in southern New England, Maine and Newfoundland. We also host at least one women’s cruise each summer. This winter we’ll again offer several educational seminars open to everyone—check our calendar for upcoming events and our activity log from past years to get a sense of what we do each year.

We are good friends who enjoy good sailing who delight in finding another Blue Water burgee flying when we enter an anchorage. Keep an eye out for us wherever you sail!

Jack Savage

BWSC is Focused on the Water

The Blue Water Sailing Club has no shore facilities, so our summer activities are dedicated to sailing and having rendezvous in many different ports.

Off season we’re more active than most brick-and-mortar yacht clubs. We gather at different seaside locations for social gatherings. We have guest speakers who cover various topics such as navigation, sailing destinations, safety, and so much more.

Meet us at museums, yachts clubs, and pubs across coastal New England.  Social gatherings give us the opportunity to meet up with friends we’ve made along the way exploring different anchorages.
