COMMODORE'S VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE

Welcome to the Blue Water Sailing Club. We are sailors of varied experience who share love of ocean sailing, cruising and racing.

Check our Calendar for upcoming events and our Annual History Logs to see what we are planning and/or have recently done.

By tradition, we annually organize a 2 week cruise in Maine, a 2 week cruise south of the Cape Cod Canal, a Women’s Cruise, a cruise that goes from south of the Canal to Maine, a number of shorter cruises and in odd years we co-sponsor and participate in the Marion to Bermuda Race.

Our Club recently added an extended expedition type cruise to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland in 2024 and 2025. At year end, a summary of this trip (“Atlantic Canada Cruise”) will be posted on our website in our yearbook which we call and label the “LOG”.  In 2026 and 2027, the Club is planning another extended trip to the Caribbean via Bermuda which includes a chartering option. A blog containing the itinerary and description of the “2026-2027 Caribbean Challenge Cruise ("C.C.C.")” can also be found on our website.

We are a virtual Club that meets physically for dinner or lunch twice a year. We enjoy everyone’s company, both members and guests, at a number of seminars, pub nights and other land events throughout the offseason

Come join us! We look forward to meeting you.

BWSC is Focused on the Water

The Blue Water Sailing Club has no shore facilities, so our summer activities are dedicated to sailing and having rendezvous in many different ports.

Off season we’re more active than most brick-and-mortar yacht clubs. We gather at different seaside locations for social gatherings. We have guest speakers who cover various topics such as navigation, sailing destinations, safety, and so much more.

Meet us at museums, yachts clubs, and pubs across coastal New England.  Social gatherings give us the opportunity to meet up with friends we’ve made along the way exploring different anchorages.
