Sailing to the Edge of Time: The Promise, the Challenges, and the Freedom of Ocean Voyaging
Presenter: John Kretschmer

John Kretschmer is a professional sailor and writer who has logged more than 300,000 offshore sailing miles, including 20 transatlantic and two transpacific passages. He is the author of books including Sailing a Serious Ocean: Sailboats, Storms, Stories and Lessons Learned from 30 Years at Sea, At the Mercy of the Sea, and Cape Horn to Starboard. He teaches aspiring bluewater voyagers in seminars, lectures and training voyages. His talk will focus on the content of his latest book, due out in November, Sailing to the Edge of Time.

Registration is $10/person. There is no fee for NYC members as a thanks for allowing us to use their space.
